Puliyogare point

Ummmmmm... Yummmmmmy!
Its finger licking good!

The moment I step into Puliogre Point, the earthen colours and the Tanjore paintings give me the feel of a typical South Indian, especially an Iyengar ambience. So we know what to expect with just a look of this place and its name. This is probably the only place in Bangalore currently which brands itself with a dish like puliogre.

The aroma of Sakkare Pongal cooked in ghee is too tempting and arouses anyone passing by. The flavours of puliogre is even more tempting and gets irresistible.
It comes with a colourful seasoning of sesame seeds, groundnuts and curry leaves and is accompanied with a soothing cup of curd. Its got the right balance of spices and flavours.
Its an extremely delicious combination.

When ever I go here, I come out extremely happy wanting to go back soon. Their puliogre is the yummiest one I'v eaten outside home.
Do not miss trying the kodbale that is available here. Its the closest I'v tasted to my grandmom's kodbale recipe.

Next time you wanna eat some delicious puliogre, sakkare pongal or kodbale, you know where to go, Puliogre Point!

Chai Point

Chai point is the perfect hang out for all you tea lovers. The chai (tea) here is the best I have tasted. The essence and flavor of the chai from Chai Point thrills me anytime anywhere.

Though the Chai Point outlets have now mushroomed all around the city, this was one of their first outlets in Bengaluru.

When coffee and tea is being over priced everywhere, this place sells the best tea at the best prices. When cafes charge exuberantly for everything, Chai Point makes it very affordable to commoners to grab a cup of tea, a quick bite and chat with your buddies.

Dum chai, Masala chai, Sulaiman chai, Lemon chai are the most popular teas here.

If you are a chai lover, you must visit Chai Point and sip a pipping hot cup of Chai.

EAT Street - Davangere Benne Dose

East Anjaneya Temple Street, more popularly called the EAT Street off late, is a lesser known place for its delicious, mouth watering and a variety of options to trigger ones taste buds. This street runs parallel to Bull Temple Road and is sure to become the favorite hang out of foodies who visit here once. It hosts a wide variety of spread, from dosa to chat, sweets to sandwiches, milkshakes to fruit juices.

I will take you on a tour from one end to the other of this street, starting from the side of NR Colony Main Road.

"Davangere Benne (butter) Dose"

Its common to find people to have eaten the best masala dosa in a lot of places all around Begaluru, but its not a common thing to find people who have eaten Davangere Benne Dose anywhere else but here in Begaluru.

The dosa is the crispiest here, it is accompanied with a very differently made potato palya (sabzi) and the most tasty chetney. The dosa just melts in the mouth and makes you wonder if heaven is really not on earth? They make a variety of benne  doses here, Benne Khali Dose, Benne Open  Dose are popular too.

This place does not restrict you only to doses. Masal Mandakki, Girmit, Mirchi Bajji, Paddu, Tatte Idly and a lot more mouth watering dishes are equally popular among the foodies who flock to this little joint.

For all you people who haven't eaten at this place, I must tell you that you are missing something!
